– Our wonderful traditions: We stay with the times, but we respect the traditions of our ancestors here in Ireland. There are whole towns devoted to preserving old ways and cultures than you can check out, and lots of wonderful crafts, which you can take home for unique souvenirs.

Where to visit
From Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher, there’s an amazing amount to see and do. Here’s a small selection of activities and day trips that you must check out while you’re here.
– The Guinness Storehouse: If you’re in Dublin, stop by and see just how Ireland’s most famous export is made. You can take a tour of the factory, learn how to pour a pint of the black stuff yourself, and of course sample the goods. Don’t forget to pick some up fresh from the factory before you go.
– Glendalough: If you’re interested in historical sites, you really need to pay a visit to Glendalough. This monastic site was established in the 6th century and is still open to visitors today. There’s a whole collection of fascinating archaeological finds to discover, and the well preserved round tower has to be seen to be believed.
– Grafton Street, Dublin: If you want to sample Ireland’s cafe culture, then Grafton Street is the place to be. This colourful section of the capital city is bustling with buskers, excellent shops and of course, plenty of cafes to stop in and watch the world go by.
– The Cliffs of Moher: This site of natural beauty is one of the most popular in Ireland, drawing in over a million visitors a year. You can see all kinds of things from the cliffs’ highest point, including the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. You really won’t see sights like this anywhere else. Travelling from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher is an excellent option.
– Muckross House and Gardens: Located in Kerry, this house has been painstakingly preserved to show off its Victorian splendour. Queen Victoria herself used to stay here while travelling in Ireland, and you’ll see just how much preparation went into a royal visit when you check out the house.
– Shop Street, Galway: If you love getting some retail therapy, this street is a must for you. It’s packed with all kinds of unique stores, including jewellers, bookstores, fashion stores, and more. The best thing about it is that it’s so laid back, so you can really enjoy the experience.
– Doolin, Clare: This tiny village is the heart of ‘trad’ music, the traditional Irish sound that we all know and love when we think of Ireland. Take a trip there and check out their lively live music scene, trying out some of their famous pubs along the way. It’s an intimate and festive way to enjoy the music in Ireland.
– The Giant’s Causeway: Located between Belfast and Derry, this geological wonder has to be seen to be believed. The hexagonal basalt columns were formed over 60 million years ago by cooling lava, although the legends say that the giant Finn McCool created them so he could travel to Scotland and fight a rival. Whatever you choose to believe, it’s a must see when you come to Ireland.
– Blarney Castle: Speaking of must sees, you really must go see Blarney Castle, home of the Blarney Stone, while you’re in Ireland. The site itself is historically fascinating, and you can kiss the Stone if you’re tempted by the legends of it bestowing the gift of the gab on anyone who does. It doesn’t hurt to dream, does it?
– Ashford Castle: One great thing about Ireland is that there are stunning castles all around the country. You could easily do a castles only tour on your trip here, and still not see them all. Did you know that you can stay in a castle, though? It’s true! Ashford Castle is a hotel, so why not treat yourself to a stay in a real life castle? It’s an experience you’re sure to remember.
