Guinness Storehouse

The home of the Black Stuff and in the heart of Dublin, the Guinness Storehouse is still one of the top tourist attractions in Ireland, if not the very top. With over 1 million visitors, there is clearly a reason to visit this exciting place, when you are visiting Dublin. It is actually the world’s largest pint glass and there are 7 floors for you to explore. Upon reaching the top, you get to enjoy a delicious pint in their world-renowned Gravity Bar.

The Cliffs of Moher

Your visit to the Cliffs of Moher will be very different to your experience in the Guinness Storehouse, but these cliffs are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction for a reason. Situated in County Clare and only about 1.5 hours away from Galway, these are a must-see for natural beauty when visiting Ireland.

Entry is €6 for adults, €4 for students and senior citizens, but FREE for under 16s.

The National Gallery

If you are looking for some culture, then the National Gallery of Ireland is a great choice. It is one of the top free tourist attractions in Ireland. It holds top Irish fine art, and some of the top European collections. Situated in the heart of Dublin, this is a must visit for art-lovers and all things cultural.

Trinity College, Dublin

Founded in 1592, this is Ireland’s oldest university. Despite it being a place of study, this is a hugely popular tourist attraction in Ireland. This is because the building itself is stunning, preserving the original architecture, and the cobblestone paths bring even more character to the place. Not only that, the Book of Kells is on permanent display at Trinity College, one of the most famous groups of manuscripts around.

Plus, the Long Room in the library hosts some of the oldest books and was the inspiration for the library in Harry Potter.

Another top free tourist attraction in Ireland, the National Botanical Gardens in Ireland oozes beauty and tranquillity. It actually hosts some fascinating nature and provides educational talks for those who are interested. However, it is also a gorgeous place just to go for a walk around.

If you’re a fan of road trips, then this one is for you. You can start anywhere, but popular starting sports are Killarney or Kenmare. The whole trip can take 3 hours non-stop, but you will want to make multiple stops to take in some of the breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean. If you’re into water sports, then there are great beaches along the way that offer these activities too.
